PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of a body structure by providing a pile type displacement suppression device capable of controlling grounding pressure again-at the ground for eliminating displacement caused by waves, etc., little sliding displacement in the case of an earthquake and suppressing harmful sliding displacement. CONSTITUTION:A hollow structure body 1 provided with an equipment space 4 and a ballast space 6 is manufactured in a dock. Then, after the body 1 is towed to a construction site in a state mounting an equipment 7 thereon, a water ballast 5 is filled with water and, at the same time, a sand ballast 8 is thrown to install the body directly on the sea bottom 2. After that, a displacement suppressing pile 3a is inserted in a guide pipe mounted to the body 1 and is driven into the sea-bottom ground. In addition, when the structure 1 is moved or withdrawn, after the pile 3a is cut off under the sea-bottom 2, the sand ballast 8 is withdrawn, and the water ballast 5 is drained to float the body 1.
