PURPOSE: To inexpensively produce a metal die casting substantially free from defects by heating a rheocast ingot divided to a prescribed weight to temperature within a solidification range to change a spherical texture metal alloy to a paste form and injecting the paste into a casting mold. ;CONSTITUTION: The semiconductor ingot 12 is supplied into an injection chamber 20 on a machine 18 and is injected by a piston 21 into the casting mold 22 where the alloy solidifies to produce a finished casting 25 constituting internal combustion engine parts, such as an injection manifold. The injection of a laminar flow state is, however, possible on account of the semiliquid state supplied to the injection chamber 20. The interpose of the air bubbles in the finished casting and the formation of blowholes may be prevented on one hand and the segregation of the solid ceramic particles incorporated into the semiliquid alloy supplied to the machine 18 may be prevented on the other. Then, the particles are uniformly dispersed together in the semiliquid alloy injected into the casting mold 22 and in the finished casting 25.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
