PURPOSE: To provide a system which can compensate a compensation circuit with band limitation that has different frequency characteristics between its input and output. ;CONSTITUTION: A block which operates the compensation coefficient C₀ of an FIR filter 16 consists of an FFT circuit 13, an adverse characteristic arithmetic circuit 14, an IFFT circuit 15 and a coefficient converter 17. Then an out- band processing circuit 1 is added to the arithmetic block, so that the smooth adverse characteristic is secured even though the frequency characteristic outside compensation band is sharply deteriorated. Thus the linear distortion can be compensated as desired despite a small number of taps of the filter 16.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
