PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core-type single-phase transformer, having an excellent insulating characteristic and capable of simplifying the construction of lead connection, even if tap windings are arranged inside. ;SOLUTION: A coil first leg 2 and a coil second leg 3 are formed on two main legs of a single-phase four-leg iron core. The wound directions of the tap windings 4 of the coil first leg 2 and the coil second leg 3 are mutually the same. The tap coil terminal symbols T1-T5 of the coil first leg 2 and the coil second leg 3 are turned upside down. Tap coils wound around the coil first leg 2 and the coil second leg 3 are mutually connected in series, by connecting the corresponding terminal symbols of the upper and lower ends of the tap windings 4 around the coil first leg 2 and the coil second leg 3 to each other with the horizontal transition leads.
