PURPOSE:To obtain the subject special combined filament yarn having ultrahigh softness and unique hand by false twisting a polyester multifilament yarn containing a specified micropore-forming agent blended therein, untwisting the resultant yarn and further heat-treating the untwisted yarn at a prescribed temperature or above. CONSTITUTION:A metal-containing phosphorus compound expressed by the formula [R1 and R2 are monofunctional organic acid; M is alkali (earth) metal; m is 1 when M is alkali metal and 2 when M is alkali earth metal] in an amount of 0.5-3mol% and an alkaline earth metal in a molar amount of 0.5-1.2 times based on the above-mentioned phosphorus compound as a micropore- forming agent are added to an acid component constituting a polyester in a reaction stage of the aforementioned polyester to prepare polyester multifilament yarn containing the micropore-forming agent blended therein. One or more obtained multifilament yarns are then false twisted at ordinary temperature to 78 deg.C, further untwisted and subsequently heat-treated at =130 deg.C to afford the objective yarn.
