PURPOSE: To provide a counterweight derail detecting device which is constituted to actually detect derailing of a counterweight and have high reliability. ;CONSTITUTION: A counterweight derail detecting device comprises a derail detector 8 installed at a guide shoe 2, over which a counterweight 1 is slid, along a rail 3 installed at an elevator shaft for an elevator and detecting whether or not a slider is protruded from a rail surface in state to be engaged with a slider 14 the tip surface of which is pressed against the surface of the rail 3 through the force of a resilient body; and a trolley device 9 installed to the counterweight 1 and transmitting a derail detecting result, detected by the derail detector 8, to the outside through a trolley wire 11 laid along the elevator shaft.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
