摘要

NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R1 and R2 are 8-20C unsaturated alkyl) and formula II (R3 and R4 are 8-20C saturated or unsaturated alkyl). USE:An oil-soluble complexing agent. Useful for the separation, purification, etc., of rare-earth metals. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by heating ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid in pyridine and acetic anhydride and reacting the resultant acid anhydride of formula III with unsaturated alkylamines of formula R1NH2 and R2NH2. When R1 is same as R2, 2 mols of R1NH2 or R2NH2 are made to react to the compound of formula III and, when R1 is different from R2, the above compounds are successively reacted to the compound of formula III. The compound of formula II can be produced by a similar method.
