The invention relates to an electrical high-voltage cable of 1 to 500 kV, the cable insulation being resistant towards the formation or growth of water trees and consists of 70 to 99 parts by weight of an ethylenepolymer (I) and 1 to 30 parts by weight of an ethylenecopolymer (II) which consists of 80 to 92 parts by weight of ethylene and 8 to 20 parts by weight of C4-C10- alpha -olefins with a density of 0.890 to 0.915 g/cm3 and a crystalline melting point of 90 to 125 DEG C.
