PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for checking a version of library text/macro used at the time of translating a source program in a computer application system. ;SOLUTION: When a library text/macro name used at the time of translating a source program is outputted to a library text name file 17, a version information extracting program 4 extracts the correction frequency and correction data of a library text/macro unit based on directory information stored in a library text/macro library 2 used at the time of translation by using a library text name as a key and outputs the extracted contents it a version information file 7.
