PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a freezing fraction box which obtains a fraction capable of being preserved stably without lowering resolution by a method wherein a tube which receives a sample from a detector, which is frozen by liquid nitrogen and which can be cut easily is installed inside a freezing box installed so as to be connected to the detector and the tube is frozen instantaneously without being brought into contact with the air. ;SOLUTION: A sample which is separated by chromatography is injected into a column 4 by an injector as an injection port. Respective components which have been separated by the column 4 are detected by a detector 5 so as to be recorded by a recorder 6. After that, the sample is passed through a connecting tube 7 so as to flow into a tube 9 inside a freezing box 8, and the components which have been separated sequentially from the column 4 enter the tube 9. At a point of time when a target component enters the tube 9 sufficiently so as to be eluted in the tube 9, a valve 12 is opened, liquid nitrogen from a liquid-nitrogen supply source 11 is introduced into the frezzing box 8, and the tube 9 is frozen instantaneously.
