PURPOSE: To make a curve in a peripheral edge of pottery stock efficiently in a required shape by a method wherein a curved part in a state that a component is inserted is formed by pushing from inside the pottery stock. ;CONSTITUTION: Stock clay charged in a rotating plaster former 1 is pushed against the plaster former 1 with a lever 2, and the stock (a) a peripheral part (b) of which is projected slightly from an upper surface of the plaster former 1 is formed. Thereafter, the peripheral part (b) of the stock (a) is pushed inside by drive of a reciprocative driver of an air cylinder or the like with a first pushing component 3 of hard rubber-make, and gap (c) wherein an upper part of the stock (a) is partially bent is composed between the peripheral part (b) and the plaster former 1. Then, a tongue piece like inserting component 4 of hard rubber-make is inserted into the gap (c) from above with the air cylinder or the like, and deformation of the stock (a) is made not to be restored to an original state. Thereafter, when the stock (a) is pushed from inside by air cylinder or the like with a second pressing component 5 of hard rubber-make wherein a curved concave surface 6 is formed on an outer periphery, the stock (a) is put between the inserting component 4 and the second pressing component 5 to obtain a curved part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
