PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to change addresses by using a dummy instruction, and then managing addresses referred to by hardware and software and automatically allocating input/output addresses. ;SOLUTION: The dummy instruction is defined. The dummy instruction is used instead of an ordinary contact instruction or word access instruction so as to embed information for address determination in the software. Restriction conditions for specifying conditions of address assignment using this dummy instruction are set. Then a program is generated by using the dummy instruction and ordinary instructions. Then a future input/output signal is defined. The dummy instruction is developed and addresses are assigned; and compilation for generating an executable program is carried out to generate the executive- form program.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
