PURPOSE: To prevent the wear and the breakage of a fitting part between a gripper and a working tool by securing the support of the gripper and also, sliding the gripper with a supporting gage fixed to a slide carriage in a hole boring machine. ;CONSTITUTION: The device is the one fitting the gripper 24 for combining the boring rod 26 with the working tool 10 arranged in the slide carriage 12 in the hole boring machine, and the gripper 24 has a female screw screwed with an end piece 28 screwed in the working tool 10. In this device, the supporting cage 32 is fixed to the carriage 12. Then, the gripper 24 is supported with the cage 32 and the vertical and side part supportings of the gripper 24 are secured and also, the gripper 24 is guided in the axial direction. By this method, the gripper 24 is accurately screwed into the end piece 28 and a large part of causes of the wear and the breakage of both screws can be removed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO
