PURPOSE:To provide a flat cable having a slip-off preventive structure for a terminal for connection of a connector, with which the intended prevention of slipping-off is obtained without embodying the connector in a special form. CONSTITUTION:One surface 2a of a conductor 2 is exposed at the termination of a flat cable 1, and on the contrary side, it is adhered fast with the aid of a reinforcing plate 5, and a film 6 is adhered fast on either surface front or rear of the conductor except the outer surface of the reinforcing plate (between the conductor and reinforcing plate), and thereby a foremost part 7 is formed which has a larger apparent thickness on one of the surfaces where the conductor is exposed. By this part 7, the insert resistance is enlarged for a contact 10 in a connector 8 so that a sense of clicking is obtained when insertion is made perfectly and that slipping-off after insertion is prevented.
