PURPOSE: To provide an angle detector free from deterioration due to abrasion as well as a directional operation unit using the principle of the angle detector. ;CONSTITUTION: This angle detector is constituted of a parallel ray illuminant 12, a light receiving element 14 arranged so as to oppose the illuminant 12 and having four light receiving sections adjacent to each other, and a transparent plate 18 variable in inclination and laid between the illuminant 12 and the element 14. In addition, the plate 18 is supported on an operation lever 16 for allowing the change of the inclination, thereby providing a directional operation unit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
