PURPOSE:To accurately and high-efficiently receive and deliver articles by a method wherein a laterally movable shutter having an entrance sized enough for one containing chamber is mounted to the front of a containing shelf where a number of containing chambers are laterally arranged, and an entrance and exit is automatically stopped to a desired position. CONSTITUTION:An inner box 1 in which a number of containing chambers 5 are aligned is mounted in an outer box 2 having a rectangular take-out port 3. A motor 8 to which a sprocket 7 is secured is mounted to the one end of the interior of the outer box, and a pair of upper and lower endless chains 20 and 21 are runnable along the outer periphery of the inner box 1. A number of longitudinally long rectangular closing plates 24 are mounted to the chains 20 and 21 to form a shutter 22, and a longitudinal oblong bole 25 being an entrance and exist is formed in a specified spot. Specified information, e.g. the stop position of the hole 25, is inputted to a control panel, and the shutter 22 is run and stopped to a desired position. This constitution correctly receives and delivers articles without needing opening and closing and locking and unlocking of a door.
