Self-shielded arc welding flux cored wire

PURPOSE:To decrease the generation of spatters by packing a flux into a steel sheath having a specific compsn., thereby constituting the flux cored wire for self-shielded arc welding. CONSTITUTION:The steel sheath is made of a steel contg. 20 to 80ppm oxygen, 0.01 to 0.10wt.% Cr (hereafter the same)%, =0.05% C, 0.02 to 0.30% Si, and 0.2 to 1.5% Mn and the flux is packed in the cavity part enclosed by this sheath, by which the flux cored wire for self-shielded arc welding is constituted. The finer droplet grains are formed at the time of an arc welding procedure, by which the generation of the spatters is lessened and the welding workability is improved.
