Tool holder for a hand drill especially for a hammer drill as well as hand drill with tool holder

Proposed is a toolholder for a hand drill, the toolholder ensuring that a tool with a grooved shank inserted in the drill is particularly securely locked in place. The toolholder (10) has a locking element (37) which is located in a bore (39) in the main body (17) of the toolholder and can be moved radially into the tool-accomodating space (18) of the toolholder (10) so that its inside end locks a tool inserted in this space in place. The outside end (45) of the locking element (37) is connected to a closing element (40) in such a way that the two physically interlock. The closing element (40) is acted on by a spring (41) in the locking direction of the locking element (37) and can be moved back against the force of the spring by an unlocking sleeve (50), the physical interlock with the locking element (37) bringing the latter out of engagement with a recess in the tool.
