A highly conserved immunologically accessible antigen on the surface of Neisseria meningitidis organisms, as well as immunotherapeutic, prophylactic and diagnostic compositions and methods for treating, preventing and diagnosing diseases caused by Neisseria meningitidis, are claimed.
