INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION OF MATTRESSES AND CUSHIONS - SEATS FOR FURNITURE WITH A COMBINATION OF FLEXIBLE POLYURETHANE AND SPRINGS

The present invention describes mattresses and cushions for furniture of flexible polyurethane foam of all types (hard foam, soft foam, fireproof - self-extinguishing foam) and springs in all their combinations. The layers come from casting the polyurethane material into a basin and then into a paper mould in constant motion. The paper mould moves on a train in a tunnel driven at an electronically controlled speed, thus controlling the feed to the polyurethane machine to achieve a uniform and constant thickness in the layers. Springs of various dimensions for easy chairs (cushions) or single or double mattresses are placed on top of the polyurethane layer. After all this the polyurethane system with the springs moves through a furnace with a temperature of 60 degree C at a constant speed so as to cure it and for the united polyurethane - springs to set. As they come out of the furnace they are cut automatically to the desired dimensions.
