Inventions presents production method of downy surface knitted fabric imitating chamois or velvet. The production method improves organoleptic and exploitation properties of the fabric. The method for underlay uses polyester or polyamide yarn and for downy surface - multithread polyester or polyamide yarn that has an elementary linear density of 0.1-0.17 teks. Before dyeing the material is being teased, polished and stabilised.
