The heavy line of Moldavian hen subbreed [Avis] “Gât golaş”, oriented for meat and egg production, is created by methods of the local besarabic neck-naked hen selection, with further interbreeding of desirable poultry type with the New-Hampshire and Kuchinskaia races and further breeding “in self” of the obtained genotypes, is intended for industrial use and personal poultry farming as well in purity so and in crosses, has a small head with leave-shaped comb, prominent high muscular chest, wide and deep body, straight large back, red plumage thin on the chest and the belly, long neck without plumage till the crop, light-yellow beak and metatarsuses, caracterized in a high egg productivity, strongly prononced meat body forms, big body weight, increased egg productivity, strong constitution, high reproduction and viability qualities.As a paternal form it is used at crossing with egg producing breeds (White Leggorn) and meat-egg producing breeds (Sussex, Rhode Island Red, Australorp) and as maternal form at crossing it is used with meatproducing breeds and lines.
