The invention concerns expanded solid products whose matrix consists of an alveolar network formed from a starch-rich product and contains at least polymeric or copolymeric expanded thermoplastic hollow particles of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer or monomer mixture. The compositions constitute novel galenic forms for use in cosmetics or dermatology. The compositions are either in the form of expanded rolls, pellets, sheets or flakes or in powder form. Reduced to the powder state, the compositions can also be used as make-up or cleansing compositions to be rehydrated or used as they are.
