A peptide having an amino acid sequence as specified in the Sequence Listing and a peptide described therein; a blood triglyceride level rise inhibitor containing Val-Tyr-Pro and/or Val-Thr-Leu as the active ingredient; a specified health food containing the above peptide(s) as the active ingredient and having the function of inhibiting blood triglyceride level rise; and a feed containing the above peptide(s) as the active ingredient and having the function of inhibiting blood triglyceride level rise. The invention enables prevention or treatment of human or animal obesity, hyperlipemia and accompanying circulatory diseases such as hypertension and arteriosclerosis, and improvements in the meat quality of livestock and culture fish.
