The running mechanism has at least eight running wheels (3), with each of the end cross members (2) divided along their perpendicular centre line. Each half (2a,2b) is provided with a wheel mounting at either end in the travel direction. Separate wheel casings (6a,6b) are provided for each of the running wheels at the four outer corners, connected to the cross member halves via combined bolt and screw fixings (7,8). The inner wheels are provided by a support carriage (12) attached to each cross member half via a bolt (13).
