AbstractThe present invention provides a new clathrate compound which does not irritate skin, is stabilized and solidified, and consists of tetrakisphenol as a host compound and 2-alkyl-3 (2H) isothiazolone as a guest compound.The present invention relates to a clathrate compound comprising tetrakisphenol represented by the general formula [I] as a host compound and 2-alkyl-3 (2H) isothiazolone as a guest compound,[I][err]where, X represents (CH[err])n, n represents 0, 1 or 2, and R[err] to R[err] represent one element selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a lower alkylgroup, a halogen atom, a lower alkoxy group and a phenyl group which may be substituted.
