A system for creating a customized drug libraryfor an electronically loadable drug infusion pump, thesystem including a drug library containing a plurality ofdrug entries, there being associated with each drug entrya set of associated drug delivery parameters and/or drugdelivery protocols for configuring the drug infusionpump; a tool for selecting a set of drug entries fromamong the plurality of drug entries in said drug library;a tool for adding the selected drug entries along withthe sets of drug delivery information associatedtherewith to a customized library; and a loading tool forcausing the system to electronically load the customizedlibrary into the drug infusion pump.
