The track comprises parallel beams (52'') with a U-shaped cross-section forming the rails, and cross-direction rails forming the sleepers (7'). The ends (152'') of the beams are received by splice sections (8, 8a) used to join the beams end to end. Independent claims are also included for (a) the splice section, and (b) the fastener associated with the sleeper.
