PROCEDURE FOR THE MELTING OF METALS OR NON-METALS, AND USE, IN A PROCEDURE FOR THE MELTING OF METALS OR NON-METALS, OF A MATERIAL INCLUDING AT LEAST A POLYMER COMING FROM A HYDROCARBON. THE PROCEDURE IS CHARACTERIZED BECAUSE IT INCLUDES A STAGE OF ADDITION OF A MATERIAL THAT INCLUDES AT LEAST A POLYMER FROM A HYDROCARBON CHARGED TO FOUND; ADVANTAGELY, THIS STAGE IS IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THE START-UP OF THE BURNER. THE ADDED MATERIAL MAY ALSO INCLUDE FOSSIL FUELS AND METALLIC OR NON-METALLIC ALLOYS; PREFERREDLY, THE ABOVE POLYMER COMPRISES POLYETHYLENE, POLYPROPYLENE OR POLYSTYRENE WITHOUT FOAMING, OR A COMBINATION THEREOF. THE USE IN A METAL OR NON-METAL MELTING PROCEDURE OF A MATERIAL INCLUDING AT LEAST A POLYMER FROM A HYDROCARBON HAS THE EFFECT OF ENHANCING THE THERMAL PERFORMANCE AND / OR INHIBITING THE OXIDATION OF THE ELEMENTS COMPOSING THE LOAD.
