Process for manufacturing hollow pieces of continuous leather (hide, skin) with an artificial onyx or marble effect

Two masses based on unsaturated polyester with mineral fillers (charges) and the corresponding catalytic system are prepared, both pastes being a different colour. Both are received in a mould, which is rotated (rolled) on two mutually perpendicular axes, first cold and then, optionally, hot. The material obtained may or may not be translucent, having veins (wood-type grain) randomly visible on its surface.
