Surface and subsurface-consistentamplitude processing identifies and corrects for the variability introduced byinstrumentation and surface distortions. Dynamic amplitude decomposition, the subjectof this disclosure, identifies and compensates for reflection amplitude fading due tosubsurface transmission absorption media.
