The invention concerns a system for the showroom display of audio-visual recording media such as compact discs, CD-ROM's, video or audio cassettes, comprising first means for packing said recording media, optionally second means for overpacking the packages to prevent the articles from being stolen and third means for storing articles. The invention is characterised in that at least one of the first two means incorporates a circuit for memorising and reproducing a sound (9) and/or visual sequence on a display screen (40).
