PHYSICAL DISTRIBUTION/TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM AND INTEGRATED PHYSICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

A physical distribution/transportation system which has a plurality of nodes (2) at which packages sent from the senders and to be delivered to the receivers are gathered, a dedicated traveling line (4) by which a plurality of the nodes (2) are linked with each other, a traveling truck (6) which travels from a node (2) to another node (2) along the dedicated traveling line (4) and a travel control means (22) which controls the operation of the traveling truck. An ordinary vehicle which travels on an ordinary road (18) is used between the node and a user. Thus the physical distribution/transportation system comprises a combination of the dedicated traveling line (4) and the ordinary traveling lines which are the ordinary roads (18). An integrated physical distribution system including the physical distribution/transportation system like this is also disclosed.
