PROCESS FOR THE EASIER PURIFICATION OF VALUABLE MATERIALS AND/OR THEIR MIXTURES IN THE FIELD OF WETTING, WASHING AND/OR CLEANING AGENTS AND RELATED SUBSTANCES

The invention relates to a process for improving the degree of purity and especially the quality of colour and odour in valuable materials and mixtures in the field of wetting, washing and/or cleaning agents. In the process, a substance containing impurities and especially water-vapour volatile impurities is treated in finely divided form with superheated steam in the region of normal pressure in which bleaching agents may be used together with the substance for colour enhancement. In a special embodiment, the invention relates to the use of the process for drying aqueous preparations of valuable materials and/or their mixtures in the field of wetting, washing and/or cleaning agents in the spray region and/or eddy layer with the addition of superheated steam as the drying gas for the simultaneous cleaning of a substance contaminated especially with water-vapour-volatile impurities. This cleaning can be combined with an oxidising or reducing bleach dissolved at the same time in the substance to obtain brightly coloured valuable materials or their mixtures. If desired, traces of ozone may be added to the superheated steam.
