Thrombolytic agent containing plasmin and a plasminogen activator.

Claimed is a pharmaceutical compsn. having a thrombolytic effect and contg. plasmin and a plasminogen activator, at least partially in a free form (not as complex with plasmin and/or plasminogen), opt. with common pharmaceutical additives or carriers. Pref. the plasminogen activator is at least 30%, pref. 50% in a free form and the plasmin is fibrinolytically active. Also claimed is a prodn. method for the inventive compsn. by mixing plasminogen and/or plasmin with a plasminogen activator for the prodn. of plasmin. Pref. compsns. are used including plasminogens inactivated by virus. The plasmin pref. is produced in vitro from a plasminogen, (e.g. Lys-plasminogen) and a plasminogen activator. A treatment for thrombosis in mammals applying the claimed compsn. of plasmin, plasminogen activator and opt. plasminogens systemically or at the place of thrombosis is also claimed.
