The procedure consists of spraying the surface (3) of the powdered product (2) with a liquid which coats and fixes the surface. The liquid is applied with the aid of a spray bar (8) with nozzles (5) set at a distance of between 20 cm and 1 m from the surface of the powdered product to achieve a penetration of 6 - 10 mm. The treatment is carried out when the wind is light and can be preceded by spraying the product with plain water. The spray bar is mounted on a mobile chassis equipped with a counterweight, and the distance between the spray bar and powdered product surface can be measured with a radar unit (15).
