Preparation of 2',2',2''-nitriloÄtriethyl-tris(3,3',5,5'-tetra-tert.-butyl-1,1'-biphe nyl-2,2'-diyl)phosphiteÜ (NTTBP) of formula (I), by reaction of the chlorophosphite of formula (II) (3.3-2.9moles) with a tertiary amine (3.3-2.9 moles) and triethanolamine (1 mole), and separation of the product from the tertiary amine hydrochloride.
