The present invention is to offer a mixed refrigerant which can be used in the normal refrigerant system as it is together with the conventional lubricating oil for compressor other than ester oil without producing ill-effects on the stratospheric ozone layer, and with the far less global warming than chlorodifluoromethane. This is a mixed refrigerant containing difluoromethane of 80 - 100 weight % and one selected from the group consisting of cylcopropane less than 20 weight %, isobutane less than about 10 weight % and butane less than about 5 weight %.
