Date May 29, 1997A jig is used to dye a textile web made of polyester fibers (PES fibers) or a blend of PES fibers with other fibers. Dye liquor is kept at boiling temperature or just slightly below the boiling temperature. Provided in the housed-in steam space above the dye liquor are steam-spray tubes which act on the textile web. The steam-spray tubes direct saturated steam upon the textile web as it winds onto the respective reeling lap roll.
