METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONVERTING G4 FACSIMILE AND G3C FACSIMILE

A method and apparatus for converting a group 4 facsimile to a group 3 facsimile is disclosed. The method for converting a group 4 facsimile to a group 3 facsimile comprises the steps of: initializing a system for converting the group 4 facsimile to the group 3 facsimile; operating a user interface task, a system selection task, and a D-channel process task on a multi-tasking kernel; deciding whether the state of facsimile is a reception or transmission mode; and performing each protocol with the user interface task in a transmission mode and with the D-channel process task in a reception mode. Thereby, the method and apparatus for converting a group 4 facsimile to a group 3 facsimile may reduce the waste of resources such as timer and memory, etc.
