Disclosed is an support apparatus capable of reducing the vibration and noise of a hard disc drive so that a disc head can be prevented from being damaged. The hard disc drive includes a disc(2) which is rotated by a spindle motor(1), a magnetic head(5) for reproducing/recording data from/onto disc(2), and a head assembly having an actuator(4). The support apparatus comprises a pivot shaft(3) for supporting a shaft of spindle motor(1) as well as the head assembly, a base body(20), a plate(13) made of a material having a heat coefficient identical to the heat coefficient of base body(20) and a damper(14) which is disposed on an upper portion of plate(13) for absorbing the vibration and noise.
