The present invention relates to an engine drive control method in which an engine trouble occurs when a crank position sensor for detecting a position of a crankshaft is not normally output due to a failure or the like. The engine control device configuration maintains the state of the RPM sensor (1), air intake sensor (2), throttle valve position sensor (3), crank position sensor (CPS) (4) to determine the position of the crankshaft, cam ECU 6 which controls the fuel injector 7 to accurately inject the appropriate amount of fuel by receiving a signal such as a cam sensor 5 composed of a hall element for sensing the position of the shaft and igniting the cylinder to be ignited When the crank position sensor 4 fails and the signal is not normally output, the RPM is calculated based on the hole sine detected by the cam sensor 5. After the estimation operation, the fuel injector 7 is controlled to simultaneously inject fuel into two cylinders having the same stroke in all the cylinders with the calculated fuel injection amount calculated by the RPM and the air volume.
