The present invention provides a herbal composition for treating peptic ulcer comprising an oil of cypodium ambrosioide and an oil of adina filulifera at a weight ratio of 18-70: 0.5-5 and a method of preparing the herbal composition. The herbal composition has a therapeutic effect against peptic ulcers in mammals including humans, and also has a strong inhibitory effect on pyloric vinegars.
