The color display system of the present invention includes an electro-optical modulation screen (LCD), wherein a chromatic modulator (RC) in the system is provided between the multi-wavelength light sources (S, C) and the screen (LCD). This chroma modulator is to modulate a limited range or some wavelength among the wavelengths of the light source to adjust the saturation of the various parameters transmitted to the screen as well as to achieve a colorimetric balance.;It is applicable to liquid crystal color display.
