FIELD: oil processing, namely, extraction of platinum of waste platinum-containing catalysts on the base of aluminium oxide. SUBSTANCE: coke is burned out of platinum-containing catalyst on the base of aluminium oxide, the process is carried out in the medium of oxygen-containing gas at 400-600 C. Catalyst is treated by vapor within 4-6 h at 450-600 C, pressure of water vapor being 0.02-0.1 MPa, pressure of air being 0.1-2.0 MPa. The process is followed by leaching catalyst which takes place at 150-180 C. Then reduction agent is added, precipitate is separated against sodium aluminate solution and finished product is isolated by commonly used procedures. Aluminium or zinc with particles sized 1-3 mm is used as said reduction agent. When platinum-containing precipitate is separated, solution of sodium aluminate is fed for synthesis of zeolite. Degree of extraction of platinum is 99.0-99.5 %. EFFECT: increased degree of extraction; increased efficiency of the process; solutions of sodium aluminate are utilized by synthesis of zeolites. 3 cl
