FIELD: electronics, electron-optical systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed design of electron-optical system is based on module approach and incorporates cathode, electrode and anode modules. Each of them is realized independently. Versatility of electrode module that includes controlling film electrode, system of film focusing electrodes and deflecting system realized by various methods depending on needed parameters of devices and expenses on its realization makes it possible to function with any cathode module but with only limitation: cathode module should be realized on flat backing. There is also proposed design of matrix electron-optical system composed of assemblage of electron-optical systems mentioned above. In this case cathode module is subjected to second additional limitation: distances between cathode units should be specified. Device based on such design is meant for optical representation of information ( display ) and ensures addressing by deflecting system ( scanning of electron beam ). There are versions of approach to anode module depending on particular display. EFFECT: enhanced functional stability and reliability of systems. 22 cl, 19 dwg
