FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: device is used under conditions of mydriasis medicamentous for examination of visual acuity at different points of eye central optical zone in directions of main meridians of cornea. Aberrations are detected at gradient of visual acuity difference exceeding by more than 0.05 unit. Device is provided with light passing diaphragm. The latter represents spider with central hole d = 1 mm. Divisions of 1 mm are applied on spider arms. Diaphragm is positioned in recesses of body. It is capable of motion along main meridians of cornea with step of 1 mm. Given method and device allow detection of aberrations after refraction operations, radial keratotomy and implantation of negative back-chamber lenses.
