FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: to form microprofile in form of grid of intersecting scratches on surface of hole use is made of rotating diamond reamer adjusted to size. Machining is carried out as follows: first pass at working feed, following passes (not less than two passes) at accelerated reciprocating feed. Ratio of working and accelerated feeds is chosen within the limits of 1/15-1/20. Abrasive reamer has taper mandrel, adjustable split housing with diamond containing layer on working surfaces which are in form of separate replaceable blocks secured on adjustable housing. Blocks are provided with clamping cone whose shape and dimensions correspond to design of tool outlet zone in cylinder. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, enhanced quality of machining. 3 cl, 1 dwg
