Impact plate for impact wheel mill e.g. for breaking up brown coal

The impact plate is part of a mill including an impact wheel. There are several such plates (18a,18b) attached to the wheel rim region (17). The plates consist of a basically rectangular body with a narrow endface pointing in the direction of the wheel rotation axis. Protection against abrasion is provided for this endface in the form of a number of angle strips running along a line, attached to the narrow endface so that there is an open groove facing outwards formed between them and the plate endface (30). They are filled with abrasion-resistant material.
