Data reduction coding method for synthetic aperture radar data

The coding method codes the raw synthetic aperture radar data on the basis of correlated data, generated from the raw data via an inverse transformation (T) which may include a range transformation and an azimuth transformation. The range transformation employs a modified pulse compression, the azimuth transformation employs two 2 all-pass filters with defined transmission functions.
